Janki Foundation Bids Farewell to Esteemed Learning and Development Advisors Chrissie McGinn and Richard Hewitt

We send our deep gratitude to our Learning and Development Advisors, Chrissie McGinn & Richard Hewitt who recently retired from their honorary position with the Janki Foundation (JF).

Their voluntary service with JF spans over many years. They were involved in writing, and piloted, Values in Healthcare – A Spiritual Approach (VIHASA), JF’s publication in 2004. Through the years, they have shared their unrelenting support to several trainers associated with JF in understanding the value of process-based facilitation. They supported the charity’s recent programmes namely ‘Shining Light on Death’, ‘Care, Share and Inspire’. In the last two years, they offered their valuable guidance in enhancing the capacity of global facilitators for an online delivery of VIHASA training.

In their professional sphere, Chrissie and Richard cofounded Wisborough Transformation that celebrated the best in everyone. They facilitated Conscious Caring groups in healthcare, leadership development in organisations, and individual personal development. They regularly lead retreats, taught meditation, ran workshops and ran a counselling practice. They wrote Wisboroughs – Make a New Start With a Fresh View on Life (1995), and had written on caring leadership and compassion. They are Spiritual Companions and trained as Interfaith Ministers.

For over thirty years, they have run leadership and personal development programmes in the UK and abroad, mainly in Australia. They taught management in health and social care at, what is now, the University of Chichester. They were Chartered Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). They have also been volunteer chaplains in a large teaching hospital.

We were so privileged to have such a long association with Chrissie & Richard. We wish them well for the next part of their life’s journey.
