The cold waves crashing outside contrasted with the warmth of the JF Community weekend inside the Light House Retreat Centre in Worthing, East Sussex, 8-10 November 2019. Twenty one souls gathered to reflect, rejuvenate, review service projects for the future and to enjoy each other’s company.

Gaby from Oxford facilitated a wonderful session, ‘Serving from a Place of Joy’, and Nirmala from York led a relaxing session on ‘Nurturing Ourselves’. The group spent the morning guided through a process about what service ideas the Community would like to involve itself in and this created ideas for future projects.

It wasn’t all work. Along with the welcoming and generous residents of the Retreat Centre, the group devised an evening of ‘spontaneous’ entertainment that left the group feeling refreshed and ready for the next morning’s final session.
