News overview – March 2017
JF has continued working on its core projects this year. This includes updating the website, (you are viewing this page on it now!), reprinting key motivating materials, such as the booklet Hope, Healing & Happiness, creating space for different features on the website and making our flagship publication Values in Healthcare available free. (see Values in Healthcare page for details).
The resources available on-line include a substantial number of videos from past lectures and seminars. We will continue to have news updates, booklets available to download, creative meditations and a creative resources section which will include poetry, quotes and other inspirational material. Look out for the updates on this in due course.
Over 2016, we organised two key events – a guest talk and our annual lecture – featuring social and clinical perspectives on the popularity and benefits of two life-style activities that are increasingly popular today: yoga and meditation. Although both touch on the benefits of meditation, each presenter had a distinctive perspective. Scroll below for a summary of each talk. You can view them on-line by following the links.
