SERIES OF ONGOING ONE-DAY SILENT RETREATS ORGANISED BY THE KENT GROUP OF THE JANKI FOUNDATION.

Sometimes we have to physically and mentally get away from our daily roles and routines, literally “have a break”. This can help us to regain perspective on our lives and the decisions we have to make on a daily basis. The benefits of retreats are that they give us space and time to recharge our batteries, away from our usual distractions, in a beautiful environment. We have time to focus on ourselves, our thoughts, and feelings. As the retreats are guided, with a talk at the beginning and end of each day, if we wish, we can gain new ideas as to what to practise/ think about in order to reconnect to our inner selves and our spiritual lives.

The focus of the retreats is on silence, such that there is no talking for 3 hours, after an initial talk by the lead speaker. Participants are able to walk, rest, meditate, pray, read, draw and paint, amongst many possibilities. Each person has a unique experience, according to their own needs on the retreat.

Theme – ‘Sound Bath?’

Led by – Rev Lizzie Hopthrow, previously Hospice Chaplain, Director of The Quiet View

Social Media Survey

Dear All,

Hope you have had an enjoyable summer.

We are in the process of reviewing the Janki Foundation's social media content, which includes our website.

Studies have indicated that different healthcare professionals have variable use of social media platforms, and they will make recommendations to patients or colleagues based on their confidence and reliability of information. In the current climate of healthcare crisis and information overload, we would benefit from an understanding on how spirituality-related information is accessed by healthcare professionals. This will enable us to focus our messages, events and outreach.

We would greatly welcome your valuable thoughts through this survey. It is anonymous and will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you.

Best wishes,

JF Social Media Review Group
