SERIES OF ONGOING ONE-DAY SILENT RETREATS ORGANISED BY THE KENT GROUP OF THE JANKI FOUNDATION.
Sometimes we have to physically and mentally get away from our daily roles and routines, literally “have a break”. This can help us to regain perspective on our lives and the decisions we have to make on a daily basis. The benefits of retreats are that they give us space and time to recharge our batteries, away from our usual distractions, in a beautiful environment. We have time to focus on ourselves, our thoughts, and feelings. As the retreats are guided, with a talk at the beginning and end of each day, if we wish, we can gain new ideas as to what to practise / think about in order to reconnect to our inner selves and our spiritual lives.
The focus of the retreats is on silence – Our aim is to enable those wishing for more silence in their lives to come together and recharge their inner batteries.
Theme – ‘Maintaining Resilience Through Compassion Practices?’
Led by – Dr Julia Ronder Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Co-ordinator of the Kent Group of the Janki Foundation.
Who can come?
The retreats are designed for healthcare professionals but as everyone cares for another, those from all professional and spiritual backgrounds are welcome. The days are aimed for those already experienced and comfortable with silence.
