An inspiring residential weekend retreat for leaders, managers and educators in statutory, private and voluntary health and social care.

The retreat is organized by the Transformational Leadership in Care group (of the Brahma Kumaris) in collaboration with The Janki Foundation for Spirituality in Health Care.

The Challenge
With increasing demands on services, budget restrictions and legal requirements, there is a consensus that social and health care providers must work together to provide integrated, community-based services responsive to the needs of individuals. How is this to be achieved in practice? We know that top-down approaches can create massive resistance and disruption and often cause more problems than they solve.

This empowering weekend will be an opportunity to explore an ‘inside-out’ approach to social and health care integration based on personal integrity, respect, co-operation and a powerful vision of how things can be when we go beyond the barriers of bureaucracy and deliver services from the heart.

The Opportunity
The retreat will take place in the beautiful and peaceful setting of the Global Retreat Centre, Nuneham Courtney, near Oxford.

Through a mixture of talks, workshops and meditation, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Relax and enjoy the company of like-minded, inspiring people
  • Explore the values and virtues necessary for successful co-operation
  • Learn practical tools and innovative approaches for managing integration
  • Refresh your inner strength and confidence
  • Experience the benefits of meditation

The retreat is organized by the Transformational Leadership in Care group (of the Brahma Kumaris) in collaboration with The Janki Foundation for Spirituality in Health Care.

Social Media Survey

Dear All,

Hope you have had an enjoyable summer.

We are in the process of reviewing the Janki Foundation's social media content, which includes our website.

Studies have indicated that different healthcare professionals have variable use of social media platforms, and they will make recommendations to patients or colleagues based on their confidence and reliability of information. In the current climate of healthcare crisis and information overload, we would benefit from an understanding on how spirituality-related information is accessed by healthcare professionals. This will enable us to focus our messages, events and outreach.

We would greatly welcome your valuable thoughts through this survey. It is anonymous and will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you.

Best wishes,

JF Social Media Review Group
