Healthcare professionals need to be resilient in order to deal with their demanding work, and the distress of others.

How is it that some people can bounce back quickly from physical or emotional challenges brought about by illness, change or adversity, while others take longer to recover or even go into decline? From where do we acquire resilience, and how do we access it when the going gets tough?

When life throws you lemons do you purse your lips with distaste – or learn how to make lemonade?

The retreat will enable participants to explore the theme of resilience through small group work, creativity and meditation. The aim will be to increase our capacity to regain spiritual equilibrium, heightening our ability to live healthy and constructive lives. We will also look at ways through which we can we pass on this experience to those in our care.

There will be opportunities to talk, listen and play, reflect and share, or be silent if you so choose, as well as absorb the glorious autumnal surroundings of the Oxford countryside.

Social Media Survey

Dear All,

Hope you have had an enjoyable summer.

We are in the process of reviewing the Janki Foundation's social media content, which includes our website.

Studies have indicated that different healthcare professionals have variable use of social media platforms, and they will make recommendations to patients or colleagues based on their confidence and reliability of information. In the current climate of healthcare crisis and information overload, we would benefit from an understanding on how spirituality-related information is accessed by healthcare professionals. This will enable us to focus our messages, events and outreach.

We would greatly welcome your valuable thoughts through this survey. It is anonymous and will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Thank you.

Best wishes,
