Rachna is a GP in Rotherhithe, a Clinical Lead for Clinical Effectiveness Southwark and a Joint Director of Clinical Strategy at King’s Health Partners where she leads on collaborations with primary care and the emerging primary care networks, to improve outcomes for local people. She has a diverse background including an MBA from INSEAD, where she is also part of their Healthcare Management Initiative, working for a health-tech start-up, for a large pharmaceutical company in Milan and she has conducted research for the Health Foundation on innovation in healthcare. Most recently she was involved in the King’s Fund report on Compassionate Leadership and Innovation, an area where she maintains a keen interest. She describes herself as a 'Doctor by day, and a Poet by night' and explores themes associated with love, truth, beauty and healing through her writing. She was proud to have contributed to the Janki Foundation's Happidote App as a co-editor and during the ongoing COVID crisis, helped to introduce concepts around mindfulness and self-compassion to her practice.
