About the Pack

Who can use it?
Values in Healthcare can be utilised in a variety of clinical and educational settings, by a range of healthcare professionals:

professional groups at all levels, including doctors, nurses, professions allied to medicine, social workers, managers, support and administrative staff

practitioners in a wide range of settings including hospitals, hospices, general practice, health centres and clinics

staff groups and teams, including multidisciplinary teams, primary health care teams, outpatient teams and departmental teams

in qualifying and undergraduate teaching programmes as part of, or as elective elements of, curricula

in postgraduate and post-qualifying courses

in their Continuing Professional Development

What is available in the pack?
The Values in Healthcare pack is available as a ring binder (approx 500 pp) with CDs and a set of cards. It contains detailed guidance and all the necessary materials to run the programme, including:

guidelines for facilitators on preparing for and running each session

a detailed introduction to the ethos of the pack and mode of facilitation

information about the learning tools employed in the sessions

background information on each module topic which can be provided as a reading handout to participants

timed programmes for each module, consisting of exercises, feedback, review, action planning and evaluation

exercise sheets and handouts

warm-up exercises, movement exercises and closure exercises

action planning and evaluation reformats

2 CDs containing meditations and visualisations that are referred to in each module

a set of Value Cards to be used during sessions
