Inspirational Thoughts
Today we are afraid of simple words like goodness and mercy and kindness. We don’t believe in the good old words because we don’t believe in good old values anymore. And that’s why the world is sick.
The ability to live according to your values, in an unwavering way, depends on how well you have understood your spiritual identity. Cultivating that inner state of dignity is the basis of spiritual power and it is this power that is most needed in the world today.
Believe in something good if you can. Or even better, believe in something better than anything you can fathom. Because for us mortals, this is very profound medicine.
If you have honestly realised your mistake, but your mind continues to go over and over it, to no avail, consider this a sign that you are now in need of forgiving yourself.
Getting in touch with the emotions hidden within us can heal illness and can transform our lives. Healing is not just removal of illness: it is removal of the barriers keeping us from being fully who we were meant to be.
Be merciful and forgive your own self…and with love, forget the things of the past and move forward. Then you will be able to have real feelings of mercy and love for others. This is the way to truly be of help to others.
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. Suffering comes from our aversion and resistance to our painful circumstances, not from the pain itself. | "Sometimes, when the sky is obscured for many weeks with deep layers of clouds, we might come to believe that only the clouds exist. Yet if we could find a way to fly above the clouds, we would experience the vastness of the sky and the sun's brilliant radiance. In the same way, no matter how dense the clouds of our emotional confusion, the all-embracing radiant expanse of our true nature is always there, forming the backdrop of our existence."
